Because Grace: A Lenten Devotional

Greetings Saints,

I wanted to let you know about a new book that I have out.  It is called, “Because Grace,” and I am very proud of this book.

From the introduction:51+YD34PRdL

“The format of this book is simple, following the practice of the 40 days of Lent. Each day has a scripture reference, from the Revised Common Lectionary, a short devotional, a discussion or journal prompt and a haiku prayer to round it all out.

That is all there is to it. Use this book. Journal using the prompts as a springboard. May it be as meaningful to you as it was for me writing it.

Blessings on your Lenten journey.

This book would be also be great as a group devotional as well.”

You can order the book from Amazon, in paperback or kindle format, via this link:
Because Grace

You can also purchase a copy directly from me, to be shipped late January.

Thank you!

John

  1. I just began “Because Grace” (yes, I know I am a few days late). At first, I thought that it would be so difficult to find the time to add yet another devotional to my day. BUT, when I woke up at 2 am, unable to get back to sleep, I picked up the devotional and began. The scripture readings were so moving that I couldn’t put it down. I finally had to force myself to STOP reading and I intend to be more intentional about the devotion EACH day instead of doing a week’s worth of reading all at one time.

THANK YOU, Rev. John. I so very much appreciate this devotional. In just the reading of a few days, I am moved more than you can imagine, and I have read scripture that I had forgotten about. Thank you for this book. I am so glad I decided to purchase it, although at the time I really had no idea WHY I was buying yet another book. Peace and love.

    • Donna,

Thank you so much for the kind words. I am very happy my book is speaking to you.

Could I ask a favor? Would you post this comment/review on Amazon? Beyond helpful!! 🙏❤️ ~ Thank you again, John
