Dollar Store Children Sermons 
I realized for some reason I talk about the wrong Gospel (second lesson is right, though)… Oops.
Here is one idea I have been playing with:
Talk to a child/middle schooler early, before service starts. When it comes time for kids sermon, and they are invited up, run to that kid and bring them up.
“I am so glad you are back,” you say, “I have a spot just for you!”
Then talk about the story. About the kid being welcomed. The kids that where there with no special welcome.
