Narrative Lectionary

Text: Exodus 20:3-11

Dollar Store Item: A favorite prayer; a favorite hymn or song; a prayer practice (Labyrinth or Prayer Beads, etc). Or None. Excercise Equipment.

The Take Away: The first part of the 10 Commandments set the stage for the other 7. God and then Neighbor. Both/And. Loving God helps us love neighbor, and in loving neighbor, we are loving God. Learning the first 3 commandments help us excercise and get ready to live out the next 7.
