Dollar Store Children Sermons 
Following lectionary, 19th Sunday after Pentecost, gospel lesson is Wedding Guests (Matthew 22:1-14), so cake is a nice wedding image. It is also Stewardship Campaign, so I’ve been asked to speak to children about acts of stewardship. Main beats: 1) How do we make this cake? What are the ingredients? We have the cake mix, where will we get the additional ingredients? 2) How to do we make a church? What are the ingredients? Where will we get the other ingredients? 3) Being the church together is not just one other but a lot of things mixed together – and we all have something to add. Just thought I’d share another direction!
