And here is the post from Facebook:

Thinking of the Mary Oliver poem I posted yesterday… mixture of joy and grief.

13 years ago I started creating a community that I didn’t even realize would exist. An idea that had been rolling around in my head, first while serving a church in Blackfoot, Idaho.

I had started a blog I called, “Magic316”… few remember this blog (Andy Arnold being one of them). It was very niche and took magic tricks and put a gospel twist in them (think Lutheran Grace and not “turn or burn” type…). I didn’t teach the tricks, because they were not mine to teach. However, if you performed the trick, this gave you another presentation. As you can imagine, the audience was limited.

So 13 years ago, I posted publically that this new blog, “Dollar Store Children Sermons” was born.

13 years. It is amazing and I am so thankful for all of you who joined in this ride.

And the grief… seeing this first post, and knowning that Jim Drury, and amazing friend and human being, was so supportive of anything I did… not only supportive but vocally so. Love that man, and miss him greatly. Especially in the midst of this time, grieving LaVonne’s death.

Thank you for all who have reached out, posted words of Grace… you mean the world to me.
