Revised Common Lectionary – Year C
Text: Luke 13:10-17
Dollar Store Item:None. You will play a game of “I-Spy.” Or a “Where’s Waldo?” Book.
The Take Away: Jesus notices the woman who is in need of healing, and calls her over. We are called to notice those around us so that we can reach out and offer care, support, and healing for the person. We are all called, “Children of God,” much like the woman in the story is called, “A Daughter of Abraham”.

Narrative Lectionary
Text: John 12:30-32, Revelation 13:1-18
Dollar Store Item: A paper towel roll for a “Do-Dee-Do.” (Being called to the Cross, and God…) or a story about being scared and how someone helped you through it.
The Take Away: There are times that seem scary, and that ARE scary. The promise of God is that God will call us and drawn us into the Good News of Grace. God is bigger than any fear and walks with us! God brings people like Parents, Teachers, Pastors, and friends to help in those scary times.
