Sunday: Second Sunday after Pentecost
Revised Common Lectionary – Year A
Text: Matthew 9:9-13, 18-26
Dollar Store Item: Bag of Candy or Fruit Snacks with lots of different colors and flavors. Or Skittles… where there are so many colors, but really one flavor! 🙂
The Take Away: Jesus serves everyone in this text. EVERY SINGLE ONE. We are called to do the same: Follow me!

Narrative Lectionary
Sunday: Isaiah Series
I am taking a break from Narrative for this summer, as it is hard for me to do this for the summer as so many are doing different things. However, I will continue to post a past link for the text tied to the series. Here is this weeks, for Isaiah
Narrative Lectionary
Text: Isaiah 9:1-7
Dollar Store Item: Something that reminds you of yourself. For me, it would be candy, or a book, or a deck of playing cards.
The Take Away: Nicknames tell us about a person many times. Isaiah tells us of the coming child who will be the light to the nations. What nick name might we give Jesus?

Really? They all taste the same?? Google answers are all over the map…but I love this idea nonetheless!
Yeah… I think they all taste the same. My guess is in a double blind study they would find out. If one is afraid of the congregation being divided about this… M&Ms are a good choice as well. 😉😁
I love the idea that they are “all in the same package”. The church family becomes the place where we all have a place. Thanks!
